How to Pack Your Flowers for Preservation Shipping

A little care in packaging goes a long way. Thoughtful packing helps your flowers arrive in the best condition for preservation, so we can capture their beauty for years to come.

Step-by-Step Packing Guide

  1. Choose fast shipping. Whenever you can, select an expedited option—1-2 day shipping is best to help keep your flowers fresh in transit.
  2. Trim the stems. Before packing, trim stems at a 45 degree angle so they can better absorb moisture from the wrapping.
  3. Give the stems moisture (not the petals). Wrap stems in a wet paper towel, then secure that in a bag with rubber bands or tape so the moisture stays around the stems during shipping.
  4. Keep petals dry. Do NOT wet the petals — keep them dry so they don’t bruise, mold, or discolor while they’re on the way to us.
  5. Cushion the box with paper. Fill empty space in the box with packing paper (no plastic) — paper towels, newspaper, or plain paper all work. This helps prevent the bouquet from shifting or getting crushed.
  6. Use a small, supportive box. For extra stability, for best results, use a smaller box with an X cut into it to hold the flower stems upright and keep the bouquet stable during shipping.
  7. Seal and send. Once everything is snug and secure, seal and send your package using your chosen 1–2 day shipping option.

If your flowers don’t look perfect when they arrive, don’t worry—it’s completely normal after travel. Careful packing using the steps above simply gives us the best starting point to preserve as much of their natural beauty as possible.
