A simple guide to preparing your flowers for preservation
Your bouquet has already played an important part in your wedding day. Now, let’s make sure it arrives safely so we can preserve those beautiful memories for years to come.
💐 WHEN TO SHIP
Ship your bouquet the day after your wedding — overnight or 2-day shipping are both acceptable. The sooner your flowers arrive, the better!
Please keep your bouquet in water until you are ready to pack it.
🌙 THE NIGHT BEFORE
The night before you ship, keep your bouquet in fresh water overnight & in the refrigerator. Standard household refrigeration works for temperate blooms like roses, tulips, carnations, lilies, and peonies. DO NOT refrigerate tropical flowers like orchids or anthuriums, as temperatures below 50°F cause cold damage This keeps the flowers hydrated and as fresh as possible before their journey to us.
📦 HOW TO PACK YOUR BOUQUET
Follow these steps carefully to make sure your flowers arrive in the best condition:
- Trim the stems — give them a fresh cut at the bottom right before packing a 45 degree angle is best.
- Gently wrap the STEMS ONLY in a damp paper towel then place them in a plastic bag — secure it snugly around just the stems.
- Do NOT let any moisture touch the flower heads. Moisture on the blooms can cause damage or mold.
- Cushion all sides of the bouquet with soft packing paper or other protective packing material. Please use a box that ensures your bouquet is standing up right
- Best way to do this is to set the bouquet in a sturdy cup/vase. Use a box – cut a hole in the middle of it and fit your cup with your bouquet in this hole.
- Make sure the bouquet is snug and secure so it cannot slide or shift around during transit.
- Write ‘FRAGILE – THIS SIDE UP’ clearly on the outside of the box.
- PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR NAME & RESERVATION DATE IN THE BOX
💡 Tip: Have your shipping supplies ready before your wedding day so you can pack and ship your bouquet as soon as possible!

Option 1 — Ship It Yourself
Prefer to head to your local post office or shipping carrier? That works perfectly! Just make sure you select Overnight or 2-Day shipping to keep your flowers fresh in transit.
Option 2 — Let Us Handle It (Recommended ✨)
We partner with Shippo, a discounted shipping platform, to offer our customers better rates than standard retail pricing. We’re happy to arrange your shipping label on your behalf — the cost will simply be added to your invoice. It’s one less thing to worry about after your big day!
Just reach out before you’re ready to ship and we’ll get everything set up for you. Please include the dimensions of your box (length, width, height) and weight!
